Chapter 11

Tunnel/Jacobs: Children’s Literature Briefly

This chapter explains contemporary realistic fiction. This type of fiction tells a story that could have occurred but didn't. Experiences described in this type of fiction is actually possible. This type of reading is pretty interesting, but a little more involved because the reader can actually place themselves in the character's place. I know that as a child, I enjoyed more fantasy. However, as I was growing up, I enjoyed more of the fictional reading because it did allow me to see how other people deal with the my same experiences differently.
