Tunnel/Jacobs: Children’s Literature Briefly

This chapter really explained the importance of reading about our history. I have really come to understand and percieve how history is how and why our way of life is the way it is. As a child, I always enjoyed reading and learning about history, (any history), because I was always interested in how this world came to be. It has given me a better understanding and appreciation for the many hardships and sacrifices people experienced for us to enjoy our world and the way in which we live in it today.
